How to Choose a Website Design Company in Kenya

The cheapest quote is not always the cheapest decision

A website quote can look attractive because it leaves important work invisible. Content, mobile refinement, testing, ownership, support, search, and future changes may appear only after the project has started.

Choosing well means making the future visible before comparing the numbers.

Ask about the thinking

Can the provider explain why the website should be structured a certain way? Do they understand the customers, offer, location, and decision the site needs to support? A provider who begins with decoration may miss the business problem.

Ask about responsibility

Who supplies the content? Who manages updates? Who owns the domain? What happens when a form breaks? Are SEO, GEO, ecommerce, or M-Pesa included? What does handover mean? These questions belong in the agreement, not in a promise made during a sales call.

The same questions are useful when comparing website ownership and handover terms.

Ask what happens after launch

Some businesses need a one-time build. Others want a partner who remains responsible for the website as the business changes. Neither is automatically correct, but the arrangement should be explicit.

Look for clarity, not theatre

A trustworthy provider can describe scope, exclusions, process, evidence, risks, and what they cannot guarantee. They should not need to promise number-one rankings or universal AI recommendations to explain the value of good work.
